3rd at IRONMAN 70.3 Pays d'Aix

Today I achieved a satisfying 3rd place. 6 weeks after a complete IRONMAN, racing a half distance event is never easy. With this nice podium spot I can build further towards next races.
 

I came out of the water as 6th, about 1 min after the leaders. During the bike leg, I missed some explosivity and race rhythm on this very hilly course. I started as 11th for the closing half marathon and I was able to develop a very fast pace immediately. Eventually I finished 3rd, after a strong come back and ran my fastest half marathon time.
 

Next Sunday, I'll start at the IRONMAN 70.3 Barcelona to build up towards my top fitness for IRONMAN Nice.
